Apple and sausage bake. A Bosak Christmas morning breakfast tradition.
Ingredients
- 1 lb link sausage
- 6 medium baking apples, pared and sliced
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- 3 tbsp brown sugar
Method
- Brown sausage and cut each link in half. Drain thoroughly.
- Butter a 1 ½ quart casserole. Combine apples and sausage links and put in casserole.
- Sprinkle with salt and pepper, lemon juice, and brown sugar. Cover and bake at 350° for 45 minutes.
